AMMAN – With the cooperation of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) and the support of its Chairman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, two PhD dissertations on the standards and indicators of the Organization have been completed.
Following the discussion of her dissertation, Dr. Faten Sa'da received a PhD Degree in Educational Management from the University of Jordan. Her dissertation included “a proposed educational guide for self-evaluation of private school senior management in Amman, based on AROQA standards”.
At the Yarmouk University in the meantime, another PhD. Dissertation will be discussed for Hana Al-Alalali, also in Educational Management, entitled: "A proposed training program for private school principals at the University District in light of AROQA requirements and standards.”
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, AROQA founder, praised the selection of Drs. Sa'da and Al- Alalali for selecting the AROQA indicators and standards for their dissertations, affirming that the Organization puts all its expertise and resources at the service of researchers and students in the Arab countries.
In her dissertation, Dr. Sa'da highlighted the Organization’s activities, particularly in the field of accreditation, as well as its efforts in promoting the culture of quality assurance in education in the era of the rapid spread of information and communication technologies.
For her part, Dr. Al-Alalali’s dissertation proposed a training program targeting school principals which aims at implementing AROQA requirements of quality standards.
Further, the two PhD candidates expressed their thanks to AROQA for its  efforts in improving and developing the educational level of different educational institutions in the Arab world, to keep up with the professional and technological advancements, in accordance with the highest standards, and in line with world of knowledge development, which is heading strongly  towards digital cognitive learning.
The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-for-profit independent association established in Belgium in 2007 with the fundamental objective of raising the quality of higher education in general with a special focus on the Arab world through developing standards and indicators of quality assurance and accreditation and providing self-evaluation and self-assessment for institutions. It works under the umbrella of the League of Arab States and its Honorary President is the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
