CAIRO - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), emphasized the need for incorporating Artificial Intelligence as one of the Organization’s accreditation standards in accordance with the international standards.
He underlined the importance of this Standard, that comes in conjunction with the Organization’s objectives, to effectively contribute to the improvement and advancement of quality of education in addition to transforming into digital and knowledge education in the Arab world.
 “We always seek through AROQA to develop different services to keep pace with the rapid developments,” Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh added, noting that the addition of the AI standard to the accreditation sets of standards would be among the best means and practices that motivate the concerned entities to develop and provide the best educational services.
It is worth mentioing that the new AI Standard will include a number of indicators centered on providing innovation environment, supporting students and mentors, in addition to stimulating initiatives and inventiveness by integrating technology, machine learning and robotics in education.
It is worth mentioning that the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-profit independent association established in Belgium in 2007. Its main objective is to promote the quality of higher education with a particular focus on the Arab world. It works under the umbrella of the League of Arab States. AROQA is chaired by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, while its Honorary President is the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
